Game Play
Jeopardy! is a twist on the traditional game show, providing the answers first and forcing players to determine the “question”.
To Begin:
Players are first presented with a view of the game board.
The active player (always the player in first position) will get to choose a clue by tapping one of the values from each category found on the screen.
This will reveal the “answer” clue to which players must fill in the question.
Responding to Clues:
Once the clue is displayed, the players can tap an on-screen button found near their position to signal their intent to respond.
Doing this will bring up the keyboard (or multiple-choice options) which they can use to respond to the clue.
If correct, the player will get to select another clue from the board, and play continues.
If incorrect, the player will lose the cash value assigned to that clue and other players will get to “buzz in” by pressing their own button.
Daily Double:
A "Daily Double" clue is hidden behind one clue in the Jeopardy! round (round 1), and two in Double Jeopardy! (round 2).
This is a special clue that allows the player to wager their money before the clue is revealed for a big reward if they can get it correct.
Final Jeopardy!:
At the end of the Double Jeopardy! round, the game will display the Final Jeopardy! category.
The Final Jeopardy! round features a single clue.
This is a special moment which allows the players to wager their score against their successful response.
Players will determine this value and “lock in” before the clue is revealed. All players will have a short period of time to fill in their response.
Once a short timer completes, the player with the lowest cash total will be prompted to reveal their response first.
The player will also reveal their wager which will be added or deducted from their total.
This process will continue through all players until the player with the highest final score is crowned the winner.
Timed Rush Mode:
In the new “timed rush mode” play solo to earn a high score.
This version behaves much like the regular game of Jeopardy!, but with only 1 player.
At the start of this mode, a timer is placed on the screen which begins to tick down.
Players then must clear the board as fast as they can.
Timed rush mode allows players to “pass” after a clue has been on screen for a time.
This will cost the player no points yet will eat up precious time.
After the timer expires, the player will play one Final Jeopardy! Round, which will allow them to wager and max out their high score.
The Final Jeopardy! round will play out like standard play.
CONTROLS
Game controls are streamlined to support the Infinity Game Table’s touch screen.
Players can comfortably navigate their way through in-game game play, menus, and prompts by touching elements on the screen.
Players will be able to see their cash / score on screen, near their position on the table.
